Taksha Institute cordially invites individuals from the yoga community to nominate a colleague, peer, or leader to receive recognition for their outstanding service. Recognized contributions can include mentorship, community, national, or global leadership, research, or other service.
Nominators are asked to electronically submit a “nomination package” to the Award Committee at contact@taksha.org by April 9, 2022. (Click https://files.ctctusercontent.com/6adb7b51401/e5ad498b-0c1c-4b33-b10e-bd41033bf5c9.pdf?rdr=true to download or view.)
- Full name and current contact information. (The Award Committee may contact these individuals for additional information.)
- A brief (no longer than one page) summary statement explaining the nominee’s contributions and activities
- Curriculum Vitae emphasizing yoga related activities (no longer than five pages)
- Two reference letters (no longer than two pages) attesting to the nominee’s contributions
Award recipients will be chosen by the members of the Award Committee (including YogaSetu managers and Members of the YSN Editorial Board). They will receive a certificate and be recognized at the Taksha Annual Yoga Therapy Retreat. There is no expectation for the awardee to make a presentation at the time of receiving the award. Names of awardees will appear on a plaque displayed in a prominent location on the Taksha website.
